Budget Headset

I meant a standalone one! Jeez man...
(A desk mic that is good quality, not too cheap..)

Now do you want one of those cheap ones that plug into the mic jack or do you want an actual mic?

For a USB mic, which doesn't require any amp, I'd recommend the Samson C01UCW which includes the desktop mic stand as well. You can check with stores like Marshall Music or Paul Bothners if they stock them otherwise you can order it from Soundz.co.za

*edit*

You can also check out the Samson Meteor Mic as it's cheaper and smaller.

Thanks,
I was looking for a proper mic :P One that is good quality.
I will be using it for my computer so it doesn't matter if it is USB or input..
Maybe I should make a new thread...?

You kinda hijacked this thread, but let's chat here until we're scolded.

For a USB mic, you don't need a DAC. It's essentially plug and play. For any other mic, you'd need a DAC and something with phantom power.

The Yeti has pickup problems. It's too sensitive at times and I know a few people in the US that have eventually had it replaced because people can hear too much regardless of the settings

Good to know....any recommendations?

You should really read before you post...I was talking about the desk mic...

Just in case it wasn't clear.

i saw a really cheap value for money usb blue mic on the internet somewhere but i cannot find the link...
i guess just keep looking for mics under $100?

Wow all of that was interesting to read. Thanks for the laughs.

If you're set on a Blue mic, then here's a local store selling all of them - www.gearroom.co.za - price wise, they're rather expensive. But that depends on your budget or not.

If you're just going to be using it for TeamSpeak/Raidcall and/or Skype, then you really don't need to spend all that much. The Samson mics that I recommended earlier would be ideal for your needs.
