Build your own Laser Microphone

a little dumb struck...

thought it was a gimmick for the game. but for real? it's awesome
 
Well I'm in the mood for streaming a video right now so I dunno if this just directional mic or an actualy laser audio detector, either way, both have been around since the 70s.

The directional mic probably needs no explanation.

The Laser mic is pointed at a window and when people talk the glass vibrates and the laser picks that up and converts it to audio.
 
This is EPIC!

All you need a lazer pointer, a light-sensor (that you can salvage from one of those day/night globes), an old pair of headphones and a laptop.

I'm so totally going to try this. It's EPIC :)

Technically the laser mic has been around since 1947, but I never thought it was this simple to set up.

I'm totally gonna go Sam Fisher and spy on people with it :D
