Bulldozer delayed

I am disappointed, as it seems as though we have been waiting for this chip forever. Intel, in the meantime, are sure to be working on the refresh of Sandy Bridge.

It is the way of intel, why make it so that you can just use the board until it breaks when you can force people to need to make a new purchase every 5min.

Not true people, Ivy Bridge will be compatible with current Socket 1155 boards.

Although there will be another chipset. Because apparently the current 4 and upcoming 2 aren't enough.

Well that is good news. But it is a first, so you can see my skepticism.

Bulldozer will probably be out next month. This delay was actually predicted by many; and there may be further delay. Plus the few weeks it takes to arrive in SA.

I'm leaning towards putting AMD inside my next machine, purely because their chips are more affordable whiule still having reasonable performance. Whether it will be a Phenom II or "Bulldozer" remains to be seen, but price will be a factor. I'm moving back to the saner
world of mid-range gaming.
