Bulldozer is the future.

I remember an AMD dual-core optimiser being launched a while back.

The BD has shown some real potential and beaten the 2600K at times. They have also said that win8 will be 10-15% faster on BD than win7 is.

So it is definitely the future right now, and I hope they do fix it soon, but I am not too expectant as they would've fixed in the 3month postponement.

But lets see, I am really hoping for a AMD comeback soon.

Joker you are my Hero... really... You have restored my faith in this CPU. I just cancelled my order yesterday from the states. but i think i will be re-ordering if its just some patches required. Reminds me of the Athlon 64 and windows XP where amd had to release software to correct the problem and for the CPU to work correctly.

I'm all for it and would be glad for the amd support if it works and is as easy as that, but you can't blame me for wanting to see it happen first :)

Yup. It all looks very promising but seeing things implemented first is a must for me. Hope it all works out well though. Choice is King.

I thought as much. These reviews came out too hasty and seemed uncertain. I hope they solve this quickly, cause they already took a hard knock with these first reviews. AMD FTW!!

Thanx guys.

I am gonna continue keeping tabs on this, will update once more details come to light and when I finally get my BD chip.

Just one note why do AMD always need patches to run properly when Intel just runs without patches. Makes me wonder.

Heads up guys, the poster of that blog is a fraudster.

Link here and here

EDIT: okay discount the first link, doesnt have anything interesting. I followed a link from the second page to it.

okay this is starting to make me feel sick again... i have never been so unsure about an AMD CPU in my life... One minute is horrible the next it can be fixed and now its all a lie and the original reviews stand. What the hell is going on??? Are they trying to create a distraction while they see if they can fix it?

i really want a bulldozer and i want it bad held off on upgrading for a while now... Hopefully piledriver is the answer or MAD do actually fix this problem.

Well you see. The problem is that there is now no guarantee of how big the boost in performance will be once there are some patches released. But in theory if optimised drivers are released for the processor then it could provide a large boost. But sadly one is going to have to wait to see what happens. I get this sneaking suspicion that there is a snake in the grass... But then again haven't really had time to investigate this chip properly.

Go read that whole thread. You guys will see what I am on about.
Im sticking to my order and I should have my chip by month end.

Have a little faith.

I don't waste money on pc parts and I know that my BD obsession has already cost me R5700 for the mobo, cpu (on order) and the ram I wanted.
I am a hardware junky of note.

What I do know for a fact, there will be motherboard bios updates as there are some little issues that need sorting. What I also know is that BD is not anything like Sandy and its not anything we have seen before. Just look at how BD destroys sandy bridge when it comes to multi threaded applications.

So i was reading on the AMD forums a little earlier, apparently there are a few bios issues with Asus motherboard. And a few other technical issues which will be resolved but a software patch. I not sure if it is the same thing that was mention in the apparent fraudulant article. But there has to be something in the pipeline. Yes people are complaining, but i would like to see local results and not just international ones.

So Joker, when you get this please share results my is only coming in January now so i can change to another AMD cpu if they release one.

You'd think that by the time AMD releases a chip, that they would have the software and patches and shit sorted already.... not after people get kak benchmarks from it :(

Only Intel in my hotrod....
