Do any of you guys/gals know if the Burger King on Rivonia still has queues that circle around the block? I'd like to go and try it over the coming weekend, but I'm really not desperate enough to ever queue for a burger.

+- an hours wait for a burger... A mate of mine got me one the other day, he waited over an hour... Its still terrible... Give it another month or so would be my advice...

Sigh I was planning on going this weekend I thought it would've died down a bit already

Whats so fantastic about these burgers? I would much rather go to a no name burger joint to be honest.

Just bec its an america brand :-/

Burger King? So last year :D

I jest, I jest. Perhaps if you REALLY want to try it you could head to Park Station? I doubt you'll find long queues at that branch.

If you go like an hour before lunch, you'll wait 10min. Weekends and lunchtime you'll wait hours.
Or you could just go here

THsoe look so nommy i really want to go to bojangles for that Halloumi burger someone posted !!!

Burger King really is nothing special... It was actually quite siff... Its like Mc Donalds with a flame grilled patty... Same thickness patty...

I just want to go there to "experience it". It's probably going to be a huge let-down, but I just want to give it a go.

The place I REALLY want to go to, where I actually have expectations, is Mr. Bojangles :) Ever since you guys posted about that I've been burning to give it a go.

I've tried gourmetgarage, but find their stuff very pricey. I actually prefer Burger Chef (ex. Chuckleberries) for a lekker fat burger.

Bro, cleveland burgers from a shop down cleveland road. Clams. Haven't had in many, many years but they are freaking amazing. Gets served up in a cake box!!!

went to Burger King on Sunday evening for supper. Still had queues  i said "fuck dat shit" and just went to Jimmy's for a Fish and Chips instead

There are sometimes still queues out the door at the Cape Town CBD branch and it's been, what, 9 months since they opened? :wtf:

I'd like to taste it once, but wait for an hour? lol

I dont wait that long for food, I also dont sit outside Spur or whatever waiting for a table.

Wait for an hour? Stand in line for a hour? For a burger? stuff that, at least I know what I get when I go to KFC, McD or STEERS.....uummmm, STEERS....best burgers in SA, imho.

Oh wait, Big Ells in PTA....used to stop there very often....man those burgers were awesome. Wonder if they are still there.

Now I'm very hungry...

Seriously, its burger king, tastes just like McDs in that it has no taste. The hype is way over-rated, its just because SA has never had BK in it's yard.

@virtualforce Big al's is still in pta

Tell us more of this 'beefcakes'.

edit: Dude. lol

Hey, hey, hey. There's a whole separate thread for this kind of thing. :p

Seriously though, their burgers are good, but I find them very, very overpriced. To be quite honest with you chaps, the best cheeseburger I've had recently has been at a News Cafe?!?
