Aw man, was just about to make a another lengthy laugh at COD. In fact, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Still think it is an epic failure. Number of units sold not withstanding. Because if you measure success purely by units sold then Justin Bieber and the Twilight series must trully be worth of places in the Louvre.

By that logic, we can just as well laugh at BF3's launch. Being forced to use Origin, loads of people unable to install the game, bugs found in beta still being in the full game.
In the end success is measured by units sold. It doesn't mean it's a masterpiece, but claiming that it's unsuccessful while it outsold pretty much any other shooter on the market reeks of jealousy and sour grapes.
Everything that's wrong with gaming is contained in that few words...
Success should never be measured by units sold, imo.
Actifail doesn't care about the PC gamers any more, I love blizz/acti but i do not approve with alot of the decisions they are making as of late. everything is about money and not about the true passion of getting it right....... On a side note im hoping that i can withdraw this comment from D3 as that should be a masterpiece after waiting this long....

And that's the big issue. Developers and publishers measure success that way nowadays. The main reason is because nowadays people make games to make money, and not because they enjoy doing it.
