Can anyone recommend this PSU?

STOP commenting on old threads for the sake of getting your activity up. Please just stop.

Come on now, Lyt. This is hardly fair. 9 days can hardly be considered necroposting and Orion made a valid post. He asked how your PSU is working out for you and then asked if anyone else could recommend a PSU that he linked to. I really think you're overreacting here.

It's not like he dredged the thread up from page 20 and then posted a one-liner that added nothing of worth to the discussion.

Clive, I can understand why Lyt and others are frustrated. It seems as though every thread has been resurrected and we all know that the competition is the cause of this. Perhaps this is not the best example of a thread necro by Orion but there sure as hell are many out there.

It wasn't a valid post though. To sum up events before orion.

Lyt started thread
Lyt got his advice
Lyt said he has ordered the PSU based on above advice

There is nothing else you can say that is on topic once the OP has decided on the hardware and after a week I'm sure the new part is the PC. Unless you can say I have a time machine which you can borrow to go back in time and order this instead, it's a thread necro in the context of the thread.

Except that the post was regarding the OP and the PSU he ordered.. Is Orion not entitled to know how the PSU is performing and if Lyt is happy with his purchase? How is that not on the topic of buying a PSU? This thread isn't just here for Lyt, it's for the whole community. The only off topic posts I've seen in this thread, are by Lyt, Clive Woover, Fivel, you, and now, alas, me.

But he also moved it onto a new PSU that he was looking at and that is where it stayed. If you want a review then ask and I see that as valid but it didn't really go that way. I will shut up now.

How is the psu working out for you , is it good.

Save for the lack of a question mark, how is that not asking?

I'm only actually saying something here since the alternative is that everyone that wonders about a new mouse, PSU, keyboard etc. is forced to make a new thread, even if the product they are interested in has already been discussed. I'm not all that keen on seeing a front page filled with "Can anyone recommend this PSU" numbered 1 through 40..

Ike_009, the only reason the conversation did not 'go that way' is because Lyt refused to answer his question. You can't blame Orion for Lyt being anal.
