Cell C LTE for gaming tested

The pings are promising, but using a K4605 modem or a B683 router, I am getting similar speeds, on MTN, 8ta and Cell-C, and better speeds on Vodacom.

But I do also realise I am located favorably with regard to towers from all providers. Speeds are reasonably consistent from all providers. Pings could be better however.
 
LTE is still very much in an infancy stage as most of these providers have only started rolling it out now. I'm sure as more people subscribe and more LTE devices come online they will get past the teething problems.

I remember when 3G was first introduced. It was horrible at first, but they sorted out the problems eventually.

So I would say that if people really want to use LTE as an ADSL replacement that they should maybe wait till middle of the year and then try it again.
 
I also tested mine and got a 33MB speedtest result with 8mb upload. Dont really know how to show my ps connectivity results but was running real smooth playing fifa 13 online.
 
Well seems Cell C are getting there & as soon as there manage to get a wider country wide coverage they will upgrade download speeds, hoping for the better from Cell C, ;)
