It really is a sad day today. Chester Bennington, the lead singer from a little known band called LINKIN PARK was found dead in his home last night, hours before a photo shoot with his band. His death was apparently due to suicide.

Today I will be listening to Linkin Park the whole day. Share your favourite song of theirs in this thread.

While this is not my favourite Linkin Park song, this cover just shows the true range and vocal ability of Chester

as much as i like LP, when singers commit suicide i dont feel sympathetic towards them and it only seems to be prevalent in the rock/metal genre. When did you ever see an r&b or pop singer commit suicide ?

I don't know exactly what genre Amy Winehouse was.

What makes the story even sadder for me is that it was Chris Cornell's birthday yesterday.

For those who don't know: Chris Cornell was the frontman of Soundgarden and Audioslave, and he and Chester were pretty good friends.

I can't help but wonder whether Chester took Chris' death much harder than everyone thought. Not my favourite Linkin Park song, but here's a tribute Chester did to Chris of a song that was dedicated to him (One More Light):
