Agreed, lets be martyr'd together now for what they will call 'blasphemy'. But we are not allone. I'm sure Ive seen others who dont get the hype around SC/SC2, so let us unite(but I guess a minority like us will be stepped on by the masses that conform)

I do not get the hype of any game where it intrudes on other areas of life.
Sure I play the odd game here and there that I really like but then it's over and I'm waiting for the next that will really grab my attention. If someone wants to make a sig out of something that's fine but I don't think forums should contribute to causing mass hype.

Being as how this forum revolves around gaming ... it rather mysteriously incorporates ideas from those games into the system.

First off ... you're not being forced to choose the Starcraft ranking system - you have COD and Fallout 3 to choose from as well ... or ... heaven forbid, you can choose not to use any of them.
Secondly - these rankings were instated after consideration from users of this forum - people, I may add, have some affinity for the game which rankings they were proposing.
Thirdly - I fail to see how this "hypes" the game any more - Starcraft is a popular IP in and of itself -even though I personally hate it.
Lastly - congratulations in responding to and becoming trolls yourself.
