Chose your own adventure books

Could we consider chose your own adventure books to be a bit game like. The reasoning being is that you are making active decisions. Sort of like the telltale games.

Your thoughts?

I wouldn't really say the Telltale games give you choice, they give you the illusion of choice. I think a good example of choice throughout story and entices multiple playthroughs would be Pyre (I haven't played as yet, just based on videos I've watched). Another good example of choice is Until Dawn, you can literally finish the game with none or all of the story members.

I used to love those! collected them at one point...Sure they're in a box somewhere still.. I remember always wanting to own (i read from library) the "mega" adventure one. like 3x the thickness of the others. travel to year 3000 or something.

ah the good 'ol days :)

One of my favourites was Deathtrap Dungeon by Ian Livingstone. I also got quite into the Lone Wolf series by Joe Dever. Funnily enough, both have had video game adaptations.
