Anyone else keeping an eye on this? I'm excited about it but still a bit cautious about pre-ordering after the disaster known as Simcity 2013.
I'm keen to see what it's aboot actually. I wouldn't say SimCity was a disaster, as a city simulator genre game I think it excels. Just the small maps and the permanent online more (later patched) made people upset. But as a game it was great.
Then there's Cities XL which looks fantastic and the sheer size of cities you can build, it's like SimCity on 'roids. But I could never really get used to the UI (though better with mods) and as such looking forward to trying Cities XXL.
But yes, I've been curious about this. I'm just worried, it looks a little cartoon like for my taste.
I waited until they added offline mode to Simcity and then picked it up, it's quite enjoyable. But the plot sizes are still ridiculous.
So is it better since they added the offline mode? Worth the purchase?
Still prefer Simcity 4.

Seems a lot like SimCity. Along with the restricted zones.
it's getting some good reviews. Currently has an Overwhelmingly positive user rating on Steam.
I've written up my first impressions of the game if you guys are interested:
