Clan Logo [OPINIONS]

Hey Guys,

Busy working on a team/clan logo, we only play Hearthstone competitively so I wanted to incorporate that into the Logo somehow... But ya, really just looking for some in put and want to know what you guys think of the logo as a whole ;)

Constructive criticism more than welcome, If you hate it thats cool let me know how you think i can improve it etc... "whistling:

I think there's too much going on there, it's all a blur. Keep it simple! Also the fact that the ribbon and the symbol don't use the same art style makes it look a bit amateurish, no offense.

Solid background to make it easy on the eye. For a wallpaper it would work because it is so busy.

Perhaps use a simple design of a character or a card from the game. Just have it made in a different style. A clan Logo does not have to be pictogram either it can even be a letter. It does not even have to represent the game you play!

You've all been demoted to Grade B South Africans with a complimentary internet snotklap.

The flag is the wrong way round. Vertically draped flags must be rotated and flipped. (So red on left)

And yeah, simply it dramatically so that it looks good even when much smaller (as it often will be)

It's really busy. Go black and white (I used Threshold tool in Gimp) and see what sticks out, then add back in colours.

That's a good tip.


I just think it's a bit brash, too harsh on the eye. With a dark background then BAM! Have some bright colors!

[MENTION=13244]Tom[/MENTION] Agree with what others have said here - you want your logo to be clear, clean, uncluttered.

As it is in your OP I think it's too busy, with too many different styles in it. If that's the logo you're using I'd definitely drop the wooden crate background as a start. Or go flat and b/w as [MENTION=2399]czc[/MENTION] suggests - think his version is ace.

If you're still open to changing the logo entirely, I reckon you could go for something that more closely reflects the Hearthstone logo itself. Maybe something like this:

Have to agree that it is too busy. My eyes didn't know where to focus. I had to look at it for a while before I could take everything in. The wooden crate background doesn't work for me either. I liked the SA flag in the HS logo, but perhaps make it a uniform colour but keep the flag pattern, like in GregRedd's post above.

Perhaps do a few iterations and post all of them.
