What clan to you belong to?

I am a Wargeek.. mostly a social side. We all started up in Battlefield 2.. but I see we have lost a lot of the geeks to the void that is WoW.

Now we are pretty big on there as well. I think there are a couple of Wargeeks in this forum :D

Lies all lies! I played BF2 the other night. Promise!

Voicy
Wargeek (but that's W1z4rd's fault)

We play on local servers and our main game, obviously is battle tanks and TTW, both are warcraft3 maps.

TTW is a map where you build a maze and send creeps to the opposite team. Whomever reaches 0 lives first, looses. 6 Player map. Can be a 6min game up to 50mins.

Battle tanks is almost like dota. You buy a tank, guns, armor and stuff like speed or smoke and then you have to kill the other team. There are creeps to kill for money and exp and the team who first destroys the other team's base, wins. 10 Players. Can be a 15min game up to ~90mins

Speaking of WC3 maps ... I was noobishly surprised the other day to see that DOTA is in fact a Warcraft mod. Pretty much like CS.

How many well received WC mods are there though? (As i've never heard of BT / TTW)

Voicy, can you play online? There are almost every second someone who hosts TTW and I host BT a lot. You just have to give it a try.

Unfortunately I'm caught up in the evil clutches that is known as WoW. When I'm not on that I'm busy getting teabagged by someone on BF2.

WoW must be the game that lived the longest? Don't know why though, never played it. I think is sucks. :p

WoW has a few things going for it (cleverly thought out to keep people subscribed)

- Complete open world: You can walk just about anywhere and jump off anything and swim anytime and use a mount for faster travel to do all of the abovementioned things without any maploads between areas. You can literally run across an entire continent without seeing a single load screen.

- Character freedom: As mentioned, you aren't limited to point and click movement. Your character in 3rd person view, can run/ jump/ lie down/ sit/ swim / jump off anything / fall to death / drown / and later even fly!

- Professions: You can have 2 professions of MANY different types which take a lot of time and in game money to level up. You also have sideline professions such as cooking / fishing and 1st aid. All of this chows time.

- Customization: The whole WoW experience is to get better gear. This takes forever but results show immediately.

That's it in a nutshell.
