Click and Buy - Creating an Account for FFXIV ?

Okay, what's the deal here. How does one create an account that will work? It keeps coming up with "Unknown Address".

Anyone know a workaround?

Okay, still can't get this working. Myself and numerous friends and acquaintances have managed to make ClickandBuy accounts, but it would seem now unlocking the account is the issue. And from what I have been reading ClickandBuy seldom respond to query.

Come on. Anyone know a way around this? Please please please
 
It has to do with your city had the exact same problem. Make sure it’s in the correct format "bellville, cape town".
It should then work but then you will have to verify your card with them, and that sucks they deduct a random amount between 1 and 1.99 EU from your account twice, if your bank slip displays this as rand there is no way to verify your account and you have to contact them.
Been on the phone with them 3 times today explaining that my bank does not show it as EURO but ZAR. Finally some twat there said I should change banks as they do not support banks that do not support there system /sigh
 
This is UTTERLY F-ING ridiculous!!!

Creating an Account with ClickandBuy was almost impossible to workout. Took forever to find a way to do it (as zoon65 mentions that works. It needs to be veeeeeeery specific, and many ZIP codes it won't accept).

THEN it comes to the incredible hurdle of getting your Credit / Debit Card activated. Again as zoon65 mentions they send you through 2 random EUR amounts between 1.00 - 1.99 (and a 3rd hidden amount which gets billed). Then you somehow have to precisely figure out what you got charged in ZAR into EUR. My bank said they cannot tell the amounts. Overall I tried this 4 times trying to get a system to no avail. Been billed billed 4 times by them (12 charges altogether) and I am always like 0.01 - 0.05 off on one of the two amounts. Once you try too often your Card gets locked... FUN!!!!!

I know of some who have gotten lucky with their amounts and are playing, but I am not getting lucky. If one has to be 'lucky' to play a game, and the game is getting a mediocre reception at best, not to mention it requires an incredible PC to just run it, well, it does not seem worth it.

So to anyone considering this game who does not have a working ClickandBuy account:
STAY THE HELL AWAY! DO NOT BUY FINAL FANTASY XIV!!

Tried most things.

After MUCH struggling I managed to get my debit card verified, but unlike others for some reason my account is still blocked. Emailing ClickandBuy in the past has never garnered any response, so all I can do now is phone them (London based if I recall), which I will do some time tomorrow.

All of this hassle just to get to play a game. I have had run-ins with hard to activate MMO's in the past, but this takes the cake and the whole bakery for that matter.

Honestly my advice stands for anyone considering this game - STAY AWAY!
Things may get easier in the future, but if you are not willing to fight to play a game, then leave it on the shelf. There are better and vastly more user-friendly MMO's out there.
 
I managed to unblock my account today after phoning ClickandBuy in London. Anyone thinking of buying this game think hard if you are willing to go to such lengths. See if you can get a ClickandBuy account working before you even buy the game.

Let's see if the game is worth all the effort now ;)

The only way to pay with a CC in FFXIV is to go through ClickandBuy. You cannot create your FFXIV account without either having a CC attached to the account (HAS to be done through ClickandBuy), or using Crysta points (think Xbox points), but Crysta points are not supported here.
 
Still waiting for ClickandBuy to confirm my account, phoned them 4 times now sometimes waiting up to 30min. Think this is the most expensive MMO to date for me, hope it’s worth it. And ofc I crated my FFXIV account before I created my Clickandwait account so already losing out on 4 days of free game time.
 
Just tried to make a account on Click&Buy, MY GODS it is fucken fail. Got stuck on the "Zip Code" being incorrect. LOL
I don't have much Faith in the game if the t00ls couldn't even choose a proper pay partner!
 
Dont know why every1 bitching?

All i put in was my suburb and it auto filled in the rest for me including zip code, picking up my new CC today so we will see how the next step goes
 
And this morning after 4 days of waiting and crap loads of money wasted on phone calls trips to the bank and other goodies I could finally log in.... pitty the game sucks what a waste of time and money

Oh and btw (only saw this after it got locked after adding too many times), if you click on account home it tells you in euros the amount that it will refund but obviously this is the amount they took off lol
 
I really wanted this game to be good. Shit, all the needed to do was remake FFXI with better graphics (not this badly optimized chug-fest that is FFXIV), and streamline some new features in. Sure it can look pretty damn great, but hell you need a good PC to get that! This is the Crysis of MMO's.

Right now it seems they have learned NOTHING from FFXI. There is virtually no tutorial system, and working out even the most mundane of tasks requires too much effort and confusion. Look I do not mind challenge, in fact I want that, but this game tells you NOTHING, you need to Google everything. And to top it all off when alt tab-ing to check for info the game crashes...

Then we have the gameplay itself. In short it is tedious to the max so far. I enjoyed FFXI regardless of the level of tedium involved, but with FFXIV they went backwards in so many regards.

Next you have a laggy UI, horrible controls (even when using a USB controller), and the inability to actually SELL and BUY anything with any degree of efficiency.

They bombed this one good like!
 
How long did u wait on the phone?

Ive been waiting 15 mins now...... And if not that long what time u call?
 
I phone roughly at midday SA time. I went through almost immediately and was sorted out. A friend mentioned they actually work on US time, so maybe phoning them at say 11 at night may work for you?

Perhaps I got lucky, the way ClickandBuy work it may be the case.

EDIT - Also would like to mention the game is growing on me somewhat, but it is faaaaaaar from perfect. You really need patience to play this game!
