Depends are you on PC or console?

PC CoD:MW (since it's still very active) and BLOPS 2 - soon to be Ghosts.

Console BLOPS 2.

Personal opinion. Rather play CS:GO or BF4?
 
My favorite CoD game has to be World at War. I don't like the MW series.
I still play CoD:WaW online with my PS3 every now and then. there are still loads of people playing.
 
I think my most played online COD game would be MW2 which was around 200 odd hours and Black Ops II clocking in at a whole 24 hours.

Have you considered any other FPS games? :p
 
I only play CoD online and on console (PS3) and I can tell you Black Ops 2 is definitely the better choice than previous CoD games. It's absolutely brilliant.

Put in around 527hrs into Blops 2 online and only now started to fatigue a little.

The peer-to-peer is also fantastic in Blops 2, it pairs you up with locals most of the time so gone are the days or two bar connections.

I'd recommend holding off for Ghosts as that will be all the rage next month, but I am worried with the announcement of dedicated servers. Africa won't be getting any so that means welcome back two bars :/. Infinity Ward have stated that they'll still use a form of peer-to-peer hosting so I just hope and pray that it's as good as Blops 2's.

But if you don't want to gamble on Ghosts then Blops 2 is definitely the best choice.
 
CoD4 or BLOPS2, if you're playing on PC. The rest are pretty dead.

CoD:Ghosts is coming out soon, though.
 
Black Ops 2 definitely. Fast paced, quick kills, quick respawns, awesome class set up options. Its my go to mp game when I have a few mins to spare. No problems getting into games of TDM, others are a hassle for some reason but TDM is all I care about so....
 
You can only really play the latest COD's online - so Blops2. Dont bother with any others, as they're riddled with hackers too.

But why play COD at all...rather get BF4!
 
Well hold off till Ghosts come out. I think its the 5th of November so really not long to wait.
If you really can't wait, grab black ops 2. Pretty epic multiplayer.

Just be careful...If you bump into someone by the name of PancakesZA "whistling:
He'll turn you into a rage quitter..lol
 
Until the release of Ghosts, then your best bet is COD4 followed by Black Ops 2. I think the best Cod is MW2 but MP online is meh
