CoD Elite details announced

SO basically, everything that BlackOps has builtin, is now offered as a sub service. Well most of it anycase.

In other words they are charging you for crap that every other MP includes for free? It's not they are really offering anything unique are they?

Create a clan? Seriously, wtf?
Upload videos etc? Whoopee, Fraps anyone?
Track your performance? Really? You need to pay to see your stats?
Link to Facebook? Firstly PS3 already offers this for free, secondly, do you really need to spam your FB anymore?

To anyone with half a brain cell, this is an absolute farce and a rip-off and I would love to say it will flop spectacularly, but sadly we know this will not happen due to the millions of COD followers. And I will put money on it that come the next COD title the fans will be charged for MP. Mark my words. Activision will see the success they will achieve with this venture and up the ante next time round. It's exactly what they've done now between Black Ops and MW3. Blops introduced all these nifty features which now be charged for in MW3.

While I can't blame Activision for making money, I wonder where does turning a profit become selfish greed?

Well if you pay $20 for the game and then $2 a month for the subscription it would make sense to me. but still paying $50 for the game and perhaps $5 a month would be greedy.

This is utterly retarded, just a way for activision-blizzard to milk their customers for stuff that should be standard. They are really shooting themselves in the foot and are going to push a ton of customers to BF3..

Either Activision has become filthy, greedy money-lovers or they just being real douche-bags now. It would suck so much more for the people who use Xbox Live seeing as they already have to pay for playing online with ANY game and making use of features that the Silver members can't. So why would Activision exploit the situation even further?! They should be making more than enough money from all the CoD games they've sold already and are still yet to make more. I will really lose my respect for Activision if they decide to go through with this. I've pretty much been a loyal CoD fan all along and it would be such a letdown to see the franchise take this turn...

Hmmm.
No thanks.
If I wanted to pay for features that should be included as a base core of the package, I would go play F2P MMO's.
