Infinity Ward won’t comment on dedicated servers for platforms other than Xbox One and PC

Those dedis wont ever be back ,
I hated the BLOPS 1 dedis too much lag and connection issues But at least its better than the stupid Lobbies
I much rather play with people I know than some moron from half way around the world .

One of the reasons they are shying away from Player hosted / controlled dedicated servers, is that according to them players with server files make for easily hackable games and servers.

But, having player owned and controlled dedi's, like Blops1, COD4 etc, makes for a much better experience overall. Problem with server, just reboot, Guy hacking, don't report him just manually ban him. Players causing shit, just a quick kick or ban and it's all sorted.

Then there's the whole competitive side as well which opens up if we could get such server types again.

All this is awesome but the downside is the experience is never the same for everyone , I just hope they do a good job coding the way the users connect to the servers and they make it as seemless as possible.
