COD online with 2mbps uncapped

howzit guys ,

how many of you guys out there are playing the call of duty series on a 2mbps line? i am not having any luck after upgrading ,online play is terrible , i was on the 1mbps previously and tought upgrading would make a difference. I am with afrihost on the uncapped bundle.

is there anyone out there also battling with cod or is it just me :cry: lol really frustrating when you shooting someone and they dont die yet they turn around and kill you:mad:.

From what I have heard is that afrihost has been terrible since they changed ther network I would suggest waiting it out for a couple of weeks and if it persists change to mweb.

Which COD are you playing? I recall MW2/3 using a p2p system so expect a lot of lag.

COD4 and BLOPS uses dedicated servers.

Also as stated about, Afrihost is having a lot of problems at the moment.

PLaying mw1 ,mw2 and world at war ,with mw2 i hardly ever get chance to join a game.
 
BO2 had so much potential to be an awesome competitive game but with no dedicated servers and no mod tools it has been destroyed... :(

Despite the emphasis on E-sport
The developers had they forgot two crucial parts :/
 
Ok.. Make sure you are set to BEST . on your connection in blops 2.

For the other servers you should be fine with a 2mb line.. Afrihost is Super shit at the moment and they are bleeding clients like crazy. That would be your MAIN problem. I do have to add that my capped account with Afrihost still works 100%. Do a speedtest and see what you get.. and also ask another ISP for a trial account as you are considering changing over.. IF it works you know its your ISP and not your line.
 
Those are all such old games. BO2 will be great, especially with MWEB having local servers for the PC guys.
A 1mb line will be fine, perhaps you have a congested exchange? Have you dont a few ping tests, and tracerts using your PC during the times you have issues? The speed of your line doesn't really make a huge difference, its all about the ping.
