Hey guys! I recently found this awesome site for learning programming languages ( like Javascript, PHP, Python and ruby) been using it to learn some Python and jQuery and I can recommend it to anyone who wants learn to program. They focus more on the web development part of programming so no C# or C++. www​.codecademy.com/

Yeah I used that to learn as well before I started my BsC in comp sci. Major help as it makes it easy and extremely interactive. I've recommended it to so many people.

w3schools is a great site for web based programming as well. I've used that a lot

They also have groups for each specific language. The one group ( Advanced javascript) posts challenges etc. To practice some of the skills learned.
