Not yet, but planning to. I like Frank Miller's stuff, so that's definitely on my list. Ronin, Year One, Dark Knight Returns, The Dark Knight Strikes Again, Wolverine, Daredevil...he has a way with dark characters that very few writers have.

Sin City is being reprinted with a new outer look, so I might only get it when that happens.

Sin City is awesome. I love those books.

The movie was excellent too, but there are just some things that simply work better in print. You have to read those if you evenly remotely liked the movie.

Yeah, I am just filling in the gaps with my 100 Bullets trade collection, then moving onto Sin City.

100 Bullets

O MY GEEERD!!!! Dont know how i forgot to mention this! 100 Bullets was INCREDIBLE!!! Such a great concept! Apparently there was talk of a TV series...

And Yes if you liked the Sin City movies you will love the books! New movie should be coming out soon... Its amazing how he connects all the comics with characters in the back ground etc...

I'm ashamed to say that I've never read 100 bullets despite numerous recommendations. I don't know how that happened :(

On the topic of TV series: Preacher (my favourite comic of all time) is getting a pilot by AMC. WOOHOO! I hope they like the pilot, but I have a feeling it's going to be a tad offensive.

I've only read the first trade, but I own like 7 of them. Trying to complete the collection before I start reading. With the Boys, I would read the trade as soon as it comes out, then wait 7 months for the next volume. Can't do that now, because I'll have to wait before I buy the next volume before I move on.

In an attempt to spur me on to read 100 Bullets, my friend has started to buy me random volumes of the book, that will force me to fill in the gaps.

Think I may go that way as well. Got the iPad so why not. I'd like to get the hardcover collected editions though, missed out on them.

Yeah, those are nice. But with something a trade collection that is still growing, having space for them all will be my biggest issue. Also, girlfriend.

(I am doing many books digitally because of this. Out of sight, out of mind)

If i was you i would get it digitally... there are 100 issues... and im not even sure if you will get them all here in SA...

Shit, I should have mentioned that I was talking about the trades. I have those volumes, not the single issues.

Damn. I collect it digitally.
Lol since you got me to switch to digital , I have not looked back
And it provides a justification for the Tablet lol .

But I have been struggling to find just the right comic App
Comix and the DC /Marvel apps are ok but I find the zooming irritating at times
I resort to an app called Komik which works well most of the time

I have to say that I find Comixology's GuidedView technology most welcome. Especially because it doesn't spoil the rest of the page for you. Have you checked out the settings for that?

Wanted to ask about the Marvel Unlimited subscription...

It seems like a great deal at $99 per year, But then i assume you need to keep buying the annual subscription? and after 1 year you wont have access to any of the comics u previously read without renewing?

In all fairness most people probably wouldn't read the comics more than once...
