Comic Books

TheAvenged87, I'll admit Superman #38 , with the new power and all, actually isn't that bad. I'll admit, the ending was such a cheesy moment to something that could've had much greater weight. The new power isn't bad at all, considering that it could be a

Death Vigil #6 , good stuff :D

I actually like the new power, (never thought I would say that). It certainly isn't as contrived as the electric Superman of lore "whistling:

Tom, just read TWD issues 91 to 100. Now I'm sad. Reading the letters their readers don't hold anything back. Almost scared to read the letters that came in with regards to events in iss 100.

This is important. Never skip the letters column in comic books. There is so much cool stuff in there.
You might even see something written by someone who'll be your next favourite writer.

For example,

George RR Marting doing the same http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1861790/thumbs/o-LETTER-570.jpg?5

A mate of mine wrote in to Men of Wrath (by Jason Aaron) a few months ago and got his letter published. How cool is that?

Issue 100 was BRUTAL... I actually couldn't comprehend what was happening when "it" happened...

You have a LOT to look forward to though... The AOW saga I was reading as they came out... It was an excruciating 2 week wait between issues... I need to re read AOW in one go... You have no idea how lucky you are to not have to wait for issues at the moment...

Had up to issue 125 and I finished that last night. As luck would have it the last issue (for AOW) is 126. Will try and get all the rest today. You said issue 137 is the latest?

Edit : My wife said if what happened in issue 100 happens on the TV show she is going to stop watching it. I have a feeling I may be watching it alone sometime in the near future.

Issue 137 was out on the 11th of Feb, but march gets 2 comics, they do some months like that, and its normally when something big happens so readers dont have to wait a whole month :D

But can you see how much of the comic is teased in the Tv show? Like the first episode of season 5, with the cannibals and how they killed the people with that trough? Its so well done, and so subtle for the Tv viewer, but SCREAMS at the comic readers!

YAY!!! Finally someones on the same page as me!!! :D What did you think about the whole end of the war and the new direction they took?

Ok, here's what it happening. I finished Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol (#19-63) over the last couple of months. I read the final issue two nights ago, and I am very sad that there isn't any more. This book was spectacular and is probably one of the best runs of a comic book that I've ever read. Strange and very "meta", but I loved it. For anyone who likes the X-Men and occasionally delves into the strange side of comics, get this. Sell your TV if you can't afford it.

Also, I've caught up with Rocket Raccoon. This is buy far the best artist/colorist combo at Marvel right now. Get it!

Jeez, how long did you wait for that to happen? Ok, I've got TWD #1-42 digitally. I'll start reading it soon, and then see if I can't somehow catch up to you guys this year.

I think this new direction is going to bite Rick in the ass, then he might just be the most handicapped comic character ever. No hand, bum leg, no ass, no brain. Obviously you-know-who is going to get out sometime as well. Must say the time-lapse from issue 126 to 127 caught me a bit off guard.

Regarding the end of all-out-war, thought it might be a bit more climatic/dramatic, but I think it lays a foundation for what is yet to come.

Ya the end was a bit anti climatic, but there were some stressful parts!!! Wow! If you look here,

This is like the "official unofficial" Walking Dead forum... They post about all the awesome stuff and they post the upcoming covers when they get released, if nothing else go look at The Walking Dead 141 Cover And Predictions... Should make you pretty interested in whats coming...

The time jump got me too... very unexpected... I love how he just keeps on coming up with amazing new "threats"

Thanks for the link, will go check it out a bit :) Also going to "buffer" a few issues before reading again. Like the tv series, I prefer binging on them a few at a time.

No restraint needed. I call it being absent minded. Just works out most of the time that I forget and when I do remember I've got a few to watch/read. Prefer it that way though. Do you get all your comics digitally?

Tried to get into this thing... Didn't work.

Borrowed some Deadpool comics to see what's all about it, turned out not that interesting as I expected.
