Comic Books

Picked up Justice League Dark. If you are reading Animal Man and Swamp Thing, or might just be a John Constantine fan (Hellblazer), you'll love it.

@King_Dave_Za

i loved the Deadpool & Kable series, one of those comic book series that still stay with me. when guys ask me about comics. i always mention that story arc. still one of the best i have read

Only been in comics a few months so think i missed that. Will try get the TP's thanks for that!
Going to drop a few of the serious comics for more fun ones. The Serious ones are getting too boring to read.

Yeah I will most probably drop quite a few of the DC52's after the first arc completes.
I usually only have 10 monthly's.

Same here. I opted to only collect 4...then the rest snuck up on me...and I still want more. Anyone collecting any of the following?

- Red Hood and the Outlaws
- Wonder Woman
- Aqua Man
- GL: New Guardians
- Red Lanterns
- Supergirl

?

I following all of those so far, although I've dropped Red Lanterns already and Aquaman will need to pull up his fins else he'll find himself dropped too.

New Guardians has been awesome as has Red hood & Wonder Woman. Supergirl Im indifferent about at the moment but its not in danger of being dropped yet.

Many people have been going nuts about Aquaman. Not so sure about it yet, might pick up a reading copy just to check it out.
There are a few more Batman related books that I'd like to pick up:

Batwoman (have seen a bit of it, looks interesting)
Batgirl
Red Hood and the Outlaws
The Dark Knight

Red hood ,wonderwoman , JL and Superman is doing it right Super man more cause I want to see where it goes
I feel like a traitor at times thou , havn't picked up a Marvel book in weeks
Guess its cause I feel like a kid again rediscovering this stuff , and sadly the more I read DC new 52 the more I wish marvel would do the same , well with a few not the lot .

Yeah a few of the new 52 started so well then kinda fizzled out and I'm slowly dropping them and picking up more Marvel stuff again. Spidey is still my all time best. Still Keeping an eye on Ultimate spidey and how that goes without Peter.

I used to be very into Marvel. If you look at my collection as a timeline, you will see that I started out with WWII and DC Comics, then PURELY Marvel, then DC and Image Comics.

Marvel does not appeal to me all that much. DC and Image Comics are doing something different and in my eyes, it is starting to show. The story lines are really good and keeps me entertained.

Don't get me wrong, I love Marvel. They have some awesome characters.

Image Comics? Who's that? Whats good to look at in their range?
I prefer the lighter somewhat humorous stuff like Spidey, Teen Titans and Deadpool but still like Superman, Wonder Woman and Detective Comics.

They are also one of the bigger publishers. They do Spawn and the brilliant series 'The Walking Dead'. Very interesting stuff.

I forgot about Vertigo comics. I enjoyed them a lot. Now they are part of DC (the reason why John Constantine is in Justice League Dark...)

Oh sweet I'll ask the guys at the comic book shop to show me them. Thanks for the heads up.

Lekker. You can still order back issues of Vertigo and Image comics are readily available anywhere where comic books are sold. If you want to know the good ones, PM me or just post in here.

You can also do a bit of reading up on it, I know IGN includes Image Comics in their weekly comic book review.

EDIT: The comic book GOD lives on this forum, will have to get him more active on here. User by the name of godfather. Check him out.
