Comic Con SA ticket details and pricing

Same but I will be going :P Shadow you gonna go?

I'm currently discussing it with the rest of the Cape Town Cosplay group. I might turn up, but considering that 2 days of rAge actually costs less, I'm wondering whether going will be worth my time. Or money.

idk if this is going to end off well. I personally wont go down to CPT just for this and have it end up like a fail.

rAge people at least know is epic. There is just 1 month for this event. No time for cosplayers to prep (i would love to start cosplay but im uber noob in that field). waits to see what will become of this event and wonder if its something i should or should not have missed

Those few cosplayers that are thinking about going will very likely be wearing a previous costume. Because you don't put together a decent costume in 3 weeks.

Also, the Cape Town Cosplay group already has one of their picnics planned on the 20th of April (a date which was decided on several months ago) and Free Comic Book Day, which is an annual established event happens two weeks later. And as the name implies, its free.

It's like they planned this event in total isolation without trying to engage with anyone at all.

I would pay for a plane ticket to go to ComicCon in Vegas, so R150 is nothing to go to ComicCon here.... (yeah I know it won't be at that scale)

Come on, you cheapskates!!!!

yea like most things in that they dont know about the cosplay people or anime fans before thinking or asking about what they think.

sigh

It's not a case of being a cheap-skate - as a matter of fact I would rather spend several thousand rand to go to San Diego (which is where Comic Con actually takes place) because I have a fair idea of what I'll be getting.

Also, I'm considering that a mini-con called KIN CON is being organised in Randburg in May, and it's basically a one-person job, and there is much more publicity around that than there is for this. And it seems to be a lot better organised too.

And as a matter of fact I'm totally flying up to Jo'burg for that.

I laughed my head off.

No thanks, rather go and try ComicCon if I could. Bit tired of the same old same old show being made cool...

well i will be missing this one going to Upcon thats one the 20th

I have not been there for a long time.

I like the idea of a comic convention in SA, as I am a massive comic book fan. I don't think that I'll travel to Cape Town to do that, though.

rAge is the only thing that people can go to and try to enjoy what they like to do. I do get that each year kinda becomes fail i just guess its how and what you doing there makes or brakes it.

Seriously R150 a ticket, as the famous duke nukem would say he can take those tickets and blow it out his @..
