Company of Heroes 2 Beta Keys Available

Just played a map against the AI and I've got a few thoughts:

What I don't like:

  • Shared team resources. I just lost a match because my AI teammate was pumping out useless units. resulting in me being unable to spawn units that the situation required.
  • Never been a big fan of territory-control in RTS games. Was kinda hoping CoH2 would do away with it, but it's not the worst thing in the world.

What I like:

  • Line of sight system is really nice
  • New weather system adds a really interesting dynamic to the gameplay

And yeah, I guess that's pretty much all I can say for now. It's essentially CoH 1.5, so if you liked CoH, you'll like CoH2. I'm going to see if I can pre-order tonight. If anyone wants to hit me up for MP sometime, just post here and I'll see. Just note I've never been good at RTS games, and I likely never will be. I've always been more of a TBS gamer.

Love this game though but ye I will concede that it's coh 1.5 but seeing that coh is one of the best strategy games of all time that is anything but a bad thing. Artillery in this game is insane 0.0, and love the snow and blizzards :D. Will be pre-ordering this straight away.

Well I'm glad they didn't change EVERYTHING about it :D really really loved it.

Well, it's only R40 cheaper than a pre-order from TakeAlot. :p

I'm just glad I didn't buy it yesterday or the day before, otherwise I would have paid around R550.

You should keep an eye on GetGamesGo as well. They've also got pretty big discounts on pre-orders from time to time.
