Company of Heroes problem :(

Hey peeps! I'm wondering if any of you guys can help me out. I recently installed vanilla Company of heroes and bought cd keys for OF and Tales of Valor, but now I'm missing a critical sound file that only comes on the OF disc. Two files actually :(.

The two files that I need is:

OFFullSpeechEnglish.sga
OFSPdata.sga

Is there anyone with this game, that has the OF expansion that could maybe upload this this somewhere, or somehow share it with me? My unit sounds aren't working and I also can't play the OF campaigns :(
 
sorry... i only have tales of valor...

looked on google.. seems ur not the only person who has run into this problem...
 
Update to the latest patch version, (2.602 I think.) all three Company of Heroes games run with the exact same files, the key codes just unlock different content.

Side note, if you play online, what's your game name? We should team up. :)
 
You still need to install the other games though surely? I mean if you have tales of valor you can unlock the older ones but not the other way around.

I presume Raven's comment means that the patch allows you to do so though. And if not, there are disc images lying around on the web :D

No, vanilla COH updates all the way through to where the last patch is, so you can play against the other armies online. It just doesn't update the sound files because you don't need them. This is now the unit sounds etc. So when I play with them now, there is no unit sounds. Also, downloading the iso is going to cost me 9GB of cap. Which is a bit overboard for just those 2 files.

That other file is for the OF campaingns. It's only about 200mb, which is for 2 campaigns that I can't even play now :(.

I install my vanilla game disk than run all the updates and it works all the way to Tales of Valor. I think it might be game isn't installed right, try re-installing?

Ok thanks, I will try this. Hopefully it works. I read on the relic forums that you need to install the game from the OF cd regardless, but I'll see what happens if I install vCoH and then patch. Will let you know what happens.

Btw, my online nick is tookenZA.


PS. You do have unit sounds for PE and the British right?

UPDATE: Not working :( That file is still not there. Ai...I'll have to get it from someone. Just don't know who lol.. I searched everywhere on the internet for those two files but I can't find them. Besides in torrents that has no seeders. And I checked every single torrent I could find.

Take the plunge... download the game :D (probably cheaper to buy it physically)

Or ask someone with uncapped to get it for you.

I am assuming you did a clean install of the game from scratch and then patched?
 
This makes no sense at all why its like this. Really sorry buddy.

You might have to end up downloading it.
 
Hey Tooken, I have the game at home, will try see if I can find the files for you, will need help with getting them to you though. The version I have is the call it "gold" edition, its the complete one (COH plus expansions in one) so I hope it will be the one you looking for.
 
Hey guys,

One of my clanmates has the game as well. He's got TeamViewer so I'll just try download the files straight from his PC this weekend. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for all the suggestions though guys :)

tooks im sure you realise thats going to take VERY long

ie you must DL, he must upload...
