Connectivity issues on 9 July [8ta]

Last night I was experiencing EXTREMELY slow speeds and regular disconnects on my 8ta account (I don't have a Telkom line to my house, so that's what I have to use). Did anyone else experience something similar on 8ta's or Telkom's network last night?

Well I don't have the 3G, but my Telkom line has been very slow the past few days. In which area are you? I'm in the Pretoria East area

I'm in the Irene area, so not too far off. I heard that there was some massive cable theft in Akasia the other day and perhaps Telkom is trying to divert traffic to other regions?

Well at the time of the cable theft everything seemed fine. My speed problems started Monday some time during the day. I just thought is was normal congestion at the exchange. But as far as I know, the gsm and gprs signal receivers on the towers routes differently that fixed lines.

Last night we had the same thing between 6 and 9 tonight its just gone bad again latency in games is terrible. On Mweb business 4mb and a 4mb line....

Edit: it would seem that this is a bigger problem world wide, but then again i dont really give a shit for news propaganda...Check your AV us up to date and your system is clean in any case.

I have terrible connectivity problems today. I will just lose connection, even while the 8ta program says I am connected. Happened quite a few times today, then I'm internetless for about 5 minutes then it reconnects :wtf:
