Cost of Windows 7

I'm using Win7 RC atm and I must say I love it. I bought Vista(yea i know, but it was for it's 64bit) and not as streamlined as it should be. Vista is what win7 should've been.

I will wait until the year to upgrade :) But i def will

I found the following on MyBB:

Microsoft said a Home Premium Upgrade of an existing PC to Windows 7 would cost $120 in the United States while the Professional Upgrade would cost $200 and the Ultimate Upgrade $220.
It said the Home Premium version of Windows 7 would retail for $200 in the United States. The Professional version will sell for $300 and the Ultimate version for $320.

downloaded the dock, created my own mac theme and some icons, the rest i got from a real mac and the internet, hacked and modified some windows executables to change the dialog boxes and layouts etc,downloaded some desktop gadgets and voila mac look achieved
 
Being a student next year is going to come in very handy for acquiring Windows 7 cheaply/free and legally :D
 
Dohcie - that mac look is actually rather spiffy.

My win7 64bit ultimate RC1 expired, so im back to XP :(
 
I've been using an RC for windows 7 for some time now and I am amazed at it's stability. I have no problems with my computer, less in fact than I had with Windows Vista Ultimate. So yes, I will certainly buy it when it comes out, or when my RC is up. I also don't think that the Home edition will be that expensive. Not from what I have ready anyway. And I can always just get an upgrade package to knock a chunk of the price out.
 
Some of the pricing has been reported as very cheap. Ultimate is $80 cheaper than the expected retail pricing for vista ultimate.

Just waiting to see what pricing we will be getting here in SA. The online stores should be starting to put up pricing shortly since there's only a month to go till launch.

Does anyone know how much a legal registration code will cost me. I've been using the Windows 7 Ultimate copy (pirated of coarse) for the past month or so, and love it. Wanted to test it out for a while before I whip out that amount of cash.
