Counting down to Xbox LIVE SA

Hey Guys

I'm just recently bought my wireless adapter for Xbox LIVE when I heard the confirmed news of LIVE offically launching in SA. I've held off getting LIVE til now. I'm hoping I will be able to use my local internet cap for it. How many of you guys out there are going to show your support and join LIVE locally?
 
I've been on LIVE for three years already. I've no intention of migrating my account to SA LIVE while the subscription prices are so extortionate, however.

Same here and I know a few other people who feel exactly the same.
 
It's a real pity they couldn't get pricing right. The general sentiment from gamers I have spoke to is that they have no intention of swapping to local live for this reason.

It is a shame. I guess they had to cover the cost of seting up the infrastructure somehow. If I am not much mistaken the price for Live in the UK when it first started was a little steep. I just hope, for the SA gamers sake, that MS doesn't take this as a sign that there is no market here.
 
The XBL subs are international, so buying from sites should be fine. The points might be a different beast altogether.

And you will keep what you have, so load a sub and some points before you migrate.
