Credit card and PS store

Apologies if this has already been asked, think I saw a similar question on here a few weeks ago.

When trying to purchase a game on PS store, it gives us the error E-82000171. Which apparently means that our credit card details are not correct. We've checked it and it is correct. Anything we can try to fix this? I'd really like to buy Little Big Planet that's on special at the moment!
 
is the address on your credit card the same as the address on your PSN account?
What credit card are you using?
 
Instead of struggling with this. Go to www.takealot.com and purchase PS network cash cards from them. They come in R500 and R200.

You buy it with your CC, they send you the code via e-mail and you just redeem the code on PS store, adding that amount of funds to your online wallet.

Easier than struggling with CC purchases on PSN.
 
I use my debit card with no problems on the PSN, those vouchers piss me off because there is always like 30 bucks left over that never gets spent on anything...

I would just try re enter your details again, maybe the expiry date or CCV number was incorrect?
 
Been there, done that. Also tried buying a game on PS store online. Didn't work. We encountered an error while processing your purchase. Bloody hell.
 
I should also mention, our PS is on the wifi setting, not connected to router via cable. It now does not even connect to the wifi anymore, so I can't even download Styx! Or any other PS plus game. Wish I could figure out what's up?
 
I noticed this happens sometimes if your router is on a certain channel. Try switching your router's wide channel to 9 and standard channel to 7 - 2.442GHz

That resolved the issue of my PS4 disconnecting from the wifi constantly.
 
The Playstation store is now subtracting R2 every time we try to buy games vir credit card. WTF?! Internet now connected again.
 
Just go with the voucher route or load up your wallet from the PS4 account page account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com
 
I tried buying the psn vouchers online but they are all out of stock on all the websites that were selling them?tried cheapcodes,raru and takealot but all sold out and i wanted to buy far cry 3 and 4 thats on special right now :'(
