Credit Cards - Your opinion on them

I live on my credit card. Hardly withdraw cash expect for petrol (use to have a petrol card for that too)
Obviously you cant go overboard so I dont spend so much and pay it off by the end of the month so i dont pay any interest (i.e its a substitute for cash i have vs what i dont have)

Paypal changed my life (lol) so its linked to that too.

Plus you get points for using it and although u got to spend quite a lot to get pts. each point counts and if im going to be spending cash, i rather get some points while doing it.

Never had one. Only debit cards. Hate the idea of going into debt and the potential financial noose around my neck. I don't live from paycheck to paycheck either so have no need for credit.

You make it sound like having a Credit Card means you have no money.

He's just post++, check forum there is a throng of replies threads as well as necronism.

I do however find it weird that some folk think that credit card is some impending doom. It only tells me that they can't work or have proper money discipline.

My view on credit cards are that they are epic useful (Online purchases, eg: Steam, Amazon, and other online services), but otherwise I rate a debit card could do everything else that is not online or international.

Well I increased my limit with Standard Bank and getting an FNB one. Two is enough :) Luckily I can control my spending.

I use my CC for petrol via garage card and all my day to day shopping stuff. I never have cash on me. and for steam witch is going bankrupt me one day.

credit cards are a great way to build a good credit record that u will need to live an adult life. my opinion is that they work for u, not u work for it. if u are responsible enough to handle money and be smart about it, then get a card and use it wisely. if u can't - STAY AWAY from them.
