I'm not slating him but honestly is was a poor choice to bowl 1st on a wicket that is this flat and dead.
Now the bowlers are toiling away in the hot sun, leaking runs and not doing much else.
 
Yip.... the only thing we can hope for now is that the pitch stays this flat and consistent so when we bat we can also score big runs.... I cant believe smith is bowling peterson with a 20 over old ball :-(

I reckon its exactly whats going to happen.
I also think it'll be a draw, We are more than capable of batting for long periods and on a pitch like this it looks to be really easy. So all in all a pretty lack luster game ahead of us.

Well we will see how flat this pitch is when they bowl on it but that could be sometime tomorrow lol.

It actually reminds me of Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene when they ripped SA apart, I think they put on a 470 run partnership and we could do nothing to stop them.
 
We just took a wicket Steve Smith out caught behind of the bowling of Maclaren.We needed that bad.Brad Haddin is in next that guy can slap it he must be removed real fast.Haddin is out lbw bowled Peterson.

Haddin gone, fantastic.... 332/6 although Mitchell Johnson is next and he can hit the ball quite a long way

In other news it has been announced that IPL 2014 will be held in either India or with a part of it in South Africa so we might have some IPL action incoming, also Parnell and de Lange were just bought in the auction.

Haddin pretty much gave that to Peterson! Not that im complaining!

Something about elections in India so they need an alternative depending on their discussions with the Indian government about security and other details. UAE and Bangladesh were the other possible alternatives but SA was chosen. Will have to wait and see what happens now. Johnson just caned Morkel for consecutive 4s... need to get rid of him asap.
 
Some times I just want to give Morne a clap so much potential but why is he pitching the ball so far up.Hit Johnson on the head a few times then pitch it up.
 
397 all out, not too bad considering what was projected earlier today, lets hope we can bat well now.

EDIT: SA 17/2 after 6 overs... haven't started well at all, Smith and Petersen both gone to Johnson :(
