Hater will hate. Why I say Why spend several grand upgrading my pc (which recently croaked) when I can spend a couple of hundred rand and play it on either ps3 or xbox.... My biggest gripe with the original Crysis was that when played on minimum spec it wasn't alot better than say Stalker or Far Cry 2 (ok better than Far Cry 2) it was only when you pushed it to the max where the graphics made up for the otherwise rather bland gameplay. I held firm, and still do, that the true merit of developer lies in being able to develop for multiple platforms while keeping the quality of gameplay the same. It would seem Crytek paid attention and have done just that.

Exactly, and that is also the reason why I won't be upgrading my PC. It will play it just fine. If you're PC can't play this, chances are you need an upgrade anyway.

True but upgrading your pc to play 1 game.... :wtf:

but like Tank said if the releases are going to be the same get it on which ever platform suits you. For him pc, for me Xbox or PS3 for you... who knows.

As I said, if you need to upgrade your PC to play a game, that we hope is coded well, then you need an upgrade anyway, right? I think this game is actually going to run really well on current gen PC's so most people won't need an upgrade.

Exactly right. I won't upgrade for a single game especially considering I have the choice of the PS3 version. Luckily in my case an upgrade is not needed. :D
 
Well apparently 8800Gt will run it on medium settings. While any current top of the range graphics card will be able to run everything on full, unlike crysis 1 which required more than the top of the range on its release. [paraphrasing from crytec]
 
yeah it'll run great on mid range systems, but the pc version will have the usual "rape your pc senseless" setting :p
