Crysis 2 PC Multiplayer - dodgy headshots?

Hi guys,

I don't want to start a thread where we accuse people of hacking, but have you noticed from VERY dodgy headshots now and then with Crysis 2 PC Multiplayer? I've had a couple of "kill cam" replies where the guy wasn't even shooting in my direction and he scored a headshot...I just want to get your opinion on it please.
 
I haven't had a problem with headshots hey... I always watch my kill cam and when I get headshot It's always legit.
 
As I've said before in similar discussions, stuff like this happens because of lag etc. I haven't seen any dodgy ones though. You will know when someone is hacking.
 
Was just in a match and experienced the most blatant hax I have ever seen in my 4 years of online gaming. The guy even kept spamming a link to some hax site. Sad part is, there is literally nothing you can do in a situation like that.

Ah man, that really sucks dude.. :/

I saw a guy in Homefront the other day that had speed hack and a crazy aimbot. He had like 100 kills after a few minutes and everyone else was still on like 5 etc.. I hate it when that happens..

Ugh. Soz dude. I know how that feels. I only experienced something like that once in a game of Bad Company 2. Luckily it stopped pretty quickly - it was on the SGS servers and that's the point where I stopped playing on any of SGS's servers and moved to WAGE and iGame. I know some South Africa players use hacks as well, in fact, I knew a guy personally who was in a clan and got caught cheating at Call of Duty. The South African guys and other player too (I guess) might not be as blatant, but you can still see they somehow "knew" you were behind a wall or coming around a corner - stuff like that. So they cheat, but don't make it obvious enough for people to call them on it. That annoys the crap out of me.

Either way - we'll see what happens I guess. For the most part I really enjoy this game's multiplayer aspect. It's a lot like Unreal Tournament for me at this stage and that makes me wonder how long it will last. However, in my opinion it's a solid replacement for CoD and anyone else looking for a "fast paced" shooter with dedicated servers. This will definitely keep me busy until Battlefield 3 comes out and I fear my days of playing Bad Company 2, are over.

Edit: I'd like to add that I usually think SkyRambo cheats if you look at his score - the fact is, he's just plain awesome at this game! ;)
 
Hmmmm you all lucky. I couldnt Log into Crysis at all with myCrysis account.... kept on complaining about the Password being invalid... and yes I tested the password on the myCrysis website.....
According the Forums there is a problem with this and they are dealing with it :(

This is exactly the same problem I had with the BETA. I'm only picking up my copy today but more than likely I'll have issues logging in again........ but I hope not tho.....

Hmmm shall we call it Crysis Flops?

At least the campaign is very entertaining. Hopefully they get their ducks in row before I finish it :)

Haha, thank you my good man :p Took me a while to get back into it, but now I found the best way to balance out the suit's powers so I always have enough energy to take people down :D

Yeah man, that was a bit annoying, but at least you can view the server info to see if people are playing on it. Yesterday it seemed fine though and I could see players in the join lobby. I was lucky enough to catch some guys playing throughout the weekend and we had quite a couple of games. There was a couple of MyG guys playing as well, which was quite fun.

Apart from that lobby bug, the multiplayer is awesome so far and I love how balanced this game is. There is a lot of flanking room on the maps and I have to say that the maps are amazing! Moerse fun! And there are a lot maps! Way more than any of the COD games had. I'd say this game is so worth every cent if you're into the MP.

'Tis not at all that broken. Everything is working fine for me so far! Add us on steam or in the game and come play with us sometime, if your problem is that you can't find anyone online.

Hacking is unfortunately a massive issue. There are far more players hacking than I think people like to believe. I know it's part & parcel of online gaming and will never go away, but it is still annoying and sad to see okes hack. I'm not talking about the guys who rack up a hundred kills and 2 deaths or something. I just think hackers have become far smarter and keep their scores in check by making sure they are tops and positive KDs etc, but keep them in the believable realm. I think we are too quick to dismiss dodgy play due to lag or bad netcoding. I'm not saying it isn't a factor, but like I said, I think more okes hack than we like to believe.

What pisses me off though it the ineffectiveness of the anti-cheat systems. Go play BC2 on a SGS server and tell me punkbuster works. ed it works 100% either. I know it's a never ending battle against hack writers, but dammit, I'm paying good money for the game, make sure the hackers are banned. No warnings and kak. Bam, Gone bye bye. You knew it is not allowed. Don't cry when caught.

Hmm.. weird stuff man. I'm not getting any of that. Maybe I missed all the issues. I had the same problem with my cd-key (just read your post in the other thread), but I managed to sort that out.

Have you tried again lately?

I feel you dude. As I've made clear countless time, I hate hacks. I can't stand people who do and a lot of people I've known and met in my time playing games online, got caught for hacking and that really made a huge dent in my trust for people.

Yes, it might be true that a lot of people hide their cheating. And do you know what the sad thing about that is? Good players will always be doubted because of this. This is why I can appreciate when someone is really good and I know for a fact they don't cheat.

Maximum respect to those who don't.

See what I did there? :p

Tried again last night and no joy, got onto a server then "lost connection" within a couple of minutes. Just really disappointed in EA and Crytek, I mean they've been at this for years and still can't get it right.

Well this seems to be a relatively isolated issue. There was a lot of guys playing yesterday. The whole day. Maybe it's account related? I can only suggest that you go look around on their forum or maybe try get some tech support from them?

Sorry for asking, I know you posted it somewhere, but what ISP are you with again?
