CS:GO Dedicated server - suggested config

Hi all

I'm in the process of setting up a dedicated server for CS:GO. I'm not an expert on srcds or its settings.

Its running on an Ubuntu box on a local (SA) server.

I was wondering if there are any recommended (specifically to South African gamers) server.cfg settings that I should be using to ensure the best experience.

Ideally I would love to get hold of a local game server config (eg Mweb Gaming, IS Gaming server) as they will probably be suitably tweaked.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ill ask our server admin to respond, However you should honestly do more research as you can do Rcon.

Hey man, who are you going through? Are you setting up a player based server with SteamCMD or have you purchased a server from gameservers etc?

Thanks, I am doing as much research as I can, but it also helps to have a little direct help from an existing game server admin

Setting up a player based server with SteamCMD, which is running on an Afrihost cloud server.

You could maybe find something over here

We setup our server through gameservers.com which comes with default configs on its own which you can adjust to your needs. We had to setup the server.cfg with some configs for deathmatch and for competitve and may be different to your setup. If you can't come right, I can try help you out with the server.cfg. Just send me a message or mail me and I will see what I can do.
