Cyberpunk 2077 Has A Pretty Big Team Working On It

Maybe you have forgotten already, but CD Projekt RED announced a really cool looking RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, a while back. It was to be their first original IP, and it looked like they would take all their expertise from making the great Witcher games, and channel it into what seemed to be a great setting.

But we haven’t seen nor heard from the game in a while now, and in the period separating today from the game’s original announcement, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been announced and released. But that doesn’t mean that Cyberpunk is dead- on the contrary, it seems that there is a pretty large team working on the game.

Speaking to GamesRadar, Michal Nowakowski, SVP at CD Projekt, said that a good chunk of development resources were now dedicated to the anticipated title.

“There’s a sizable team still working on [The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine], but an even more sizable team has actually been working on Cyberpunk for quite a while right now,” he said.

So… yeah, guys. If you are looking forward to the game, the good news is that it is alive and well, and that hopefully we will be seeing it some time soon.

Can't one argue that it technically is a new IP since the source material is Cyberpunk 2020 and not 2077? Definitely not an original IP though.

I can't wait for this game though, and I have plenty of faith in CDProjektRed to pull it off superbly.

The trailer that came out so many years ago had me soooo wanting to see what the game entailed...almost over it now. I'm emotionally dead inside when it comes to new games and hype...Thank EA and Rocksteady for that

But why are you emotionally dead for CD Projekt games so far its been a great ride. First we get witcher then the awesome witcher 2 and then I hear 3 is even better.

But yeah anything EA or Ubisoft does I don't get hyped for at all.
