D-Link DSL router problem

Ok so I bough a new D-link DSL-2760U router, set it up and it works till you wana connect through a WAN miniport (pppoe) then it just gives me error 653: modem or router encounter a problem etc. Then put it into bridge mode and the miniport work but then my main local area network don't have Internet connect you have to connection with a miniport. So I would just like to know if anyone has had such a problem, or knows how to fix it?

Not a end off the world problem but annoying.:p

was looking to get this router - how are you finding it?

have you tried updating the firmware?

You can't run PPPoE WAN miniport connections if your router is set up in PPPoE mode. You can only do it in bridge mode.

The reason why you're LAN does not have any connectivity when you put it on bridge mode is because your router is now bridged and not routing. Why do you need to run pppoe miniport? What are you trying to do though?
