Dark Souls 2 won’t repeat PC mistakes, dodges DLC

It's nice to see new games coming out and dedicated to current gen consoles. This game is a definate must get and been looking forward to it for a while now. Just three more months :D

If you haven't played it already, do yourself a favour and buy Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition on Steam.

Easily my favourite game of all time. The gameplay. The story. The combat system.

It's perfect.
 
I've yet to play the first game! The gameplay videos of two look so cool! Destructible environments and dat fur cape :p
Need a damn gfx card.. sigh

I preordered the Dark Souls 2 Collector's Edition which comes with a figurine of the guy we see in the videos :cool:
 
Still need to finish Dark Souls sometime before the sequel comes out. Even though I finished Demons' Souls three times I haven't managed to do Dark Souls once. Decided to play it again this Thursday (on PC), but when I went in I was reminded that it uses (shitty) GFWL and if I'm not logged into my account I have to restart the game. Couldn't log on at first so I started a new character (again), but soon realised I was sick of the beginning of the game as I've restarted so many times. Will keep on trying to sign into my GFWL account so I can carry on from Anar Londo.
 
Question for the guys who played DS on PC:

Does anyone know of a way to take my save file from the GFWL and use it with an offline account? When I first bought the game I signed in with a GFWL account and played until Anar Londo before giving up. Now I want to continue playing, but it seems signing into my GFWL account is a hit-and-miss affair, sometimes I can sign in and other times it fails. I want to rather play the game with an offline account, but this means I have to restart it and I really don't feel like doing it. I want to use the savegame from my (online) GFWL account and use it with an offline account, but I can't find anything about it being possible or not.
