Dark Souls 3

PS4 is only like R80 more expensive than PC...

I will get it on PC when it's much cheaper, but not on a steam sale as I want it physical.
 
Yeah, but R900 for a PC game is insane. The fuckers who set the price probably just did a direct currency conversion instead of considering what is a reasonable price for our zone.

I'll rather wait until all the DLC is out and then get the GOTY version, like I did with DS2. There should still be plenty of people playing by then.
 
Agreed, R900 for a PC game is ridiculous. I will (probably) wait for the inevitable complete edition before I get it on PC.

I must add however, that if any game would be worth the R900, a Lord Miyazaki directed From Software game would be a very likely candidate for just such a valuation.

It's R732.00 on Steam preorder if you own any of the souls games on Steam. It's laughable that I got a new AAA game for less on Steam than I could get at a local online retailer...

That's still kak expensive for a PC game, especially digital. If it was a physical copy I would gladly pay that price for Dark Souls 3.

Welcome to $60x15.7 instead of $60x10... Also it's still significantly less than the R899.00 that local retailers are charging. :(

It seems like that is becoming the price range of the new gen games - I wanted to stop buying games when it became R300 a game. Gradually you will see R900 becoming the norm for new games this year - my prediction and opinion.

It's simply a matter of the Rand declining, games have been $60 for many years now.
 
Dark Souls 3: Miyazaki returns to Dark Souls with a splash of Bloodborne

There might be a Bloodborne influence, but the latest from Miyazaki is much closer to the original Dark Souls formula.

While it probably shouldn’t after three games in this series and five with this basic formula, the core gameplay loop of Dark Souls is still a pleasant surprise. On paper I can’t help but still feel like it shouldn’t work – and yet here I am, addicted, at a Dark Souls 3 press event where I’m surrounded by hissed expletives as people on the screens next to and opposite me die repeatedly. And yet… it’s still bloody good fun. People are frustrated, but nobody is complaining.

I know right. Though I'm not as hyped as I would be for say The Division, think mostly due to not watching and following everything. I haven't seen any more since the closed Alpha and stress test.

So... Bloodborne saw the return of the voice actor of The Maiden in Black from Demon's Souls, as the Plain Doll. I wonder if she'll make a reappearance in Dark Souls III?
