Dark Souls - Prepare to Die

Anyone interested in Dark Souls coming to the PC? I watched a few walkthrough/playthrough videos of it and it looks like it could be good, I especially like the style.

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't just release it for PC at the same time originally, I think it took a large internet petition to get it ported. Apparently they don't plan on optimising it for the PC or fixing things like a framerate issue in some places so I'm a little reserved and disappointed there, though hopefully we will at least be able to change graphics settings and controls.

Hope it turns out well, so we get to chop up some great looking enemies.

I have a few friends that have it on Xbox and they say it is a great game but very difficult.

I decided not to get it as I don't have time to be frustrated and rage.

I'm very excited for it, but I just have too many good games at the moment demanding my attention. I guess I'll grab it on sale in a year.

I played it on the XBox 360 and it's definitely worth getting. Still haven't finished it though. :( It's unforgiving but you feel like a champ when you get past difficult parts.

Unforgiving games can be great, as long as there aren't flaws like bad controls that cause you to fall off a cliff or die in battle and things like that, it's fine provided you fail because of something you did and meant to do, it makes it feel like you've accomplished something when you succeed rather than just clicked a button to save the world.

I have it, loving it! The issues were exaggerated to be honest. :) The framerate isnt perfect but its better than that of the console FPS. Def worth the buy! :) If you wanna play, lemme know. :D

Good game, absolutely terrible port, one of the worst. As far as PC ports go I'm not sure what they could have done worse, other than not supporting keyboard/mouse at all.

It's a shame really, I wanted to say some polish would have helped but honestly you have to complete something before you can polish it.

Still enjoyable once you learn to put up with it being an atrocious port and focus on the game. Still sad though.

I have to add if you have a gamepad it's much better, the mouse movement is headache inducing and frustrating as hell but smooth with a gamepad. Working well with a Logitech Rumblepad.

Dammit. I rather dislike bad ports, even though one of the worst is one of my all-time favourite games (Devil May Cry 3). But I'll most definitely give this a go. Any other fixes you guys can recommend?
