Also, if you've been to Anor Londo, depending on how far you got you should be able to warp between bonfires. Did you defeat Ornstein and Smough? Did you meet Gwenevere?

Damn, that sucks. I guess I'll just keep playing and figure it out (one of the best parts of the Souls games) . Thanks man.

I can't really remember if I've been to Anor Londo, it might have been New Londo as well? The thing is I have attempted to finish this game quite a few times (both on PC and PS3) and I really can't remember where I have been with this particular character. I remember fighting Ornstein and Smough and meeting Gwenyvere, I know I've been to the Four Kings as well at some point, but because I have played with so many different characters I cannot remember whether it was with this character or not.
 
Well Anor Londo is up above the Burg and New Londo Ruins is dark and below the Burg. If that helps jog the memory at all (which I doubt) :p
 
Just killed the Irom Golem and got dropped off in Anor Londo. I have a better idea where this character is now. Not looking forward to Ornstein and Smough...

Browsed around in my save folders and found another character. This one is SL92 (Dex based char with Iato +10) where the other one is Str based at SL83 now. Will play aroubd for a bit and decide which one I will use to try and finish it.
 
So I enquired about some Souls art/guide/collectors books, this was the result; "Used starts at R2103 and new is R3000 plus. Both are hard to get and could take 6-8 weeks"
 
Fucking Ornstein and Smough! Almost had them. Killed Ornstein quick enough with great chaos fireball and almost got Smough as well, but rolled (backwards) into a corner and he got me that damn lightning area of effect attack. Gonna go kill some random people in GTA to calm down. :p

Definitely gonna stick with the SL92 character. I have decent Pyromancy spells as well as a bunch of boss soul weapons and souls so I can get a good idea of where I have been. Considering making my Iato a Chaos Blade, but not sure if that would be a smart thing to do. This game has me again...

This is nice to see... glad someone else out there is getting as much joy as me. I actually haven't touched my PS4 since the non-gfwl update to this.

Yeah, I started playing last night at about at 22:00 and before I knew it, it was after 1:00. I'm off today so I started again early this morning but just got pissed of at Ornstein and Smough so taking a break for now, but I'll definitely play again in a bit. I'm still playing through the Mass Effect games as well but the time I was gonna spend with Dragons Dogma (Dark Arisen) is gonna go to DS now and then DS2 as soon as I finish it. Not quitting again, this time I finish DS.
 
Ornstein and Smough are driving me fucking crazy. :mad:

Must have tried 10 more times, with or without Solaire I can't do it and I have no more humanity left. Everytime Super Smough gets me right before I almost have him. Ornstein is almost a walk in the park at this point and I do well against Super Smough until he needs like 2 more hits and then it's almost like he changes his whole strategy and kills me quickly like a cockroach.

EDIT: Fuck Yeah!!!! Got them!!!! How I have missed this feeling. This is what a Souls game is all about.

Stay close to him and just bait his ass pound attack, move away then move back in.

Otherwise opt for Smough first then take on super Ornstein. Which is more difficult in my opinion.

I got them man. They are history. This is now officially the farthest I've been in Dark Souls, could never beat those two before. Placed the lordvessel and made my way to the Duke's Archives, but I'm done for now. Will likely play again Sunday afternoon.

Vok... Took about an hour to try and find the way to Moonlight Butterfly, but can't remember where the entrance is. Instead I'm about to enter Lower Undead Burg and take on Capra.

I've got remnints of it in my mind and can remember certain things, but for the love of me I can't find that black smith or the arch you go through. I know it's around some of those old stone like Knights (which kick you arse).

You'll need Humanity, rest at a bonfire and reverse hollowing (to go human), once you are human you will be able to see soul signs. I can't remember if you need to be human in order to place a souls sign, I don't think so, you'll just need the white soap stone.

ha ok cool. Also Its there by the chapel. On the side. its basically across from the lifts that take you back to the main bonefire by the giant bird. And those knights aint that hard. I hate those evil shrubs.
