Yea i posted the link as well, but seems in the wrong DayZ thread![]()
LOL!! I almost did the same thing but it seems the other thread is more a DayZ Mod thread.
@Stunt: The north is usually a high PvP area in the mod and covered with towns and helicopter crash sites. (This depends on the server you are on but usually the norm.) At the moment there is not much way up north.
Anybody else notice the Roads in the North - I suspect a City might be added there. Got a metropolis layout.

Well the new patch is adding a whole new village will probably be placed at guba bay so yes the trend will probably follow till all those spaces are filled.
I saw that. Unfortunately, the whole minecraft thing doesn't really appeal to me
Also my noob friends jumped in and bought it. Deciding if I should be noob and join them or stick with logic, pending answers to above question![]()
I'm talking about the SA in essence that something might be being planned for that space![]()
Yep. I am just saying that in the Mod it is very populated, with the success of the Mod they will probably try to mimic that in the SA.
Sadly map expansion is not high on the list of todo's at the moment.
I ran all the way west a few days ago looking for the edge of the map. There seems to be none.
I ran for about 30 minutes after I reached the "end" of the map and it seemed to go on forever. ^_^

You might wanna crank up your anisotropic filtering.![]()
@Joy-Energiser: If you are looking for someone to run with in DayZ that will not stab you in the back, give me a shout. Sadly due to the KOS my way of playing has also changed a lot. These days I camp out in the treelines and keep an eye out for people that KOS. Then I track them, kill them and teabag them. I also saw two noodz punching it out. I tried to break up the fight by offering them food but they both turned on me. T_T had to gun them down.
A mate of mine who played the mod and is now playing the Day Z alpha says the standalone game is like chalk and cheese when compared with the mod. Can anyone confirm this?
A friend of mine plays his on a PC with a 2.9ghz dual-core CPU with a GTS450 and 4GB ram, and he has to set everything to low to play it smoothly. I guess in your case it would depend on how well the mobile GTX460M compares to a desktop card like the 450.
