Dead Space 2 out today, reviews excellent so far

I'm already most of the way through my second playthrough. I played the game, like, the entire weekend. While I thought the story could perhaps have been a little better (or, rather, more interesting), the game is otherwise superb. And fantastically good-looking.

its a gorgeous game.the end of chapter 5 the lil twist was amazing..i played the demo and the way they edited the demo was amazing,they left out all the juicy parts.but in the game u understand what trully went on!!
 
seriously a job well done. for example seeing the other people running around and getting pwanged was a nice touch :D
 
Finished it at about 2:00 this morning, brilliant game. Definitely a 9.5 in my book. I'm not really a big survival horror fan, but Dead Space 2 is one of the best games I have played in a while. The story is decent, the gameplay is awesome, the visuals (especially the lighting) are very impressive and the sound is some of the best I have ever heard. Really a worthy sequel to the original game.
 
I finished my second run (Zealot difficulty) this evening. I'm already considering my third. What a brilliant game.
 
I guess I'm halfway through ch. 13. Been loving the game. It's been one awesome thing after another. Hate to finish it, but there's always new game + and the zealot difficulty. i won't be messing with hardcore.
 
I'm going to give Hardcore a bash, but not before i finish it on Zealot.

MP isn't as bad as many of the reviews have said. Played for a few minutes the other day. Admittedly nothing amazing, kind of an indoor version of Battlefield Rush.

Did you notice the big wink to event horizon? in the temple crypts sort of place?

i think i need to take off from work to just play away at this gem. hows the playthroughs coming ?
 
Started on my Zealot playthrough, so far finding it a little easier than my normal playthrough, considering i have one weapon, suite and stasis fully upgraded. Really impressed, was loads of fun.
