Dead Space dev calls Gears of War "atrocious" then apologises

Whatever happened to constructive criticism? How will be ever improve if we someone doesn't tell us we suck? While gears may have legions of fans the writing really isn't anything spectacular (Dead Space isn't much better IMHO) but I think it was wrong of EA to pull the comments.
 
Lol, we want gamers to be more mature when even the devs are slagging each other off.
