Demon's Souls PS3

Now might be the perfect time to give this another go, but I don't know if I can play this and keep on playing Dark Souls II at the same time.

Gonna start it up now and see how it goes.

I should not have played this last night, now it is all I can think about and I have so many other games that I have to finish. Started up the Asian version since the EU version wasn't on my PS3's HDD anymore (I did start to redownload it as well) and made it to Stonefang Tunnel before stopping. Will probably start over with the EU version once it's downloaded since that is the one I never finished. Only working a few hours today so I might get stuck into this for the rest of the day as soon as I get home.

I'm sorry (no I'm not) :p

I'm going through Stonefang Tunnels now as well. Still nice to see this game actively played. Still seeing some shades running around in areas and been seeing some others playing this on their Twitch streams and getting invaded and invading.

Hehe. I'm assuming you're playing the EU version because I didn't see any shades while playing the Asian version last night. If when I get home the EU version is done downloading I wull start a new character there. Want to try a Sorcerer class, but I always get bored of it (although it makes some bosses a lot easier) so I might stick witk DEX based Wanderer. Will see if I keep playing this, but I am definitely not looking forward to the Flamelurker. Also, I forgot how brutally hard this game is. It almost makes DSII seem easy [emoji14].

Strange how that works... Demon's makes Dark seem piss, and same with Dark and Dark2.

Was also watching Peeve's twitch, he was getting invaded by Oroboro.

Yeah Demon's is way harder than the Dark games. Not just the average enemies and bosses but also how the game is structured. You only get "checkpoints" after each boss, not like bonfires in Dark Souls. Also nothing in Dark Souls compares to the Flamelurker and False King (IMO).

OK, just got home and saw that the EU version has finished downloading (along with Ducktales Remastered). Just gonna chill for a bit, maybe take a nap, and get myself ready for punishment before I begin. :p

Killed the Phalanx (again yesterday), although he is a walk in the park. Gonna take down the Red Dragon and (hopefully) the Tower Knight today and then make my way to Stonefang Tunnel again.

I finished off Phalanx and then went straight to Stonefang Tunnels to farm some hardstones and opened up some shortcuts. Think I might make my way to Red Dragon tonight, and as you say, possibly Tower Knight.

I first want to get my hands on a spear before I go to Stonefang Tunnel, it does a lot more damage to the enemies there than my Falchion. At least the Red Dragon is pretty easy (just takes a while to kill him), so I can use those souls to level a bit and upgrade some of my gear before going for the Tower Knight. Tower Knight is actually pretty easy as well if you use ranged attacks, but I don't wanna use exploits or easy ways out, wanna beat him with melee.

I'm surprised Tower Knight can be stunned, if you're melee. Just take out all the peeps along the fort then take him on. I know what you mean about ranged battle being a cheese. I normally just stick with my Bastard sword for most of the game or maybe Claymore, I have the Crushing Battleaxe which I'm thinking of leveling and playing with though.

Yeah I always take out all those guys before taking him on. I got the Bastard Sword as well, but don't have the stats to weild it properly yet. The main weapon I'm going to use, once I get it, is the Lava Bow. But that means taking out the Flamelurker (and Dragon God) first again :(. I also plan to use the Scraping Spear and then probably the Bastard or Broad Sword for Melee. DEX actaully means something in this game (with regards to bow damage) so the bow is really a viable weapon to use throughout the game. I just lure enemies to me one by one and take them out like that. The bow also helps a lot for farming in that area after the Adjudicator where the reapers are.

I wanted to start AC Unity Dead Kings now, but it is still downloading for another 40 minutes so I might as well use the time to take care of the Red Dragon now.

So last night I used the soul glitch (Asian version) to lvl a char to 712 just to check it out. As expected, it doesn't really make the game that much easier, although I did kill the Flamelurker in one try (first time ever using magic against him), but it is nice to be able to use everything I pick up immediately. Will see if I keep playing this char or not. Also did the same with a new char in Dark Souls II, which actually made the game quite easy so far. I know it ruins the experience to max out at the start, but it's also nice to check out all the gear/miracles/spells as a lot of it I have never properly checked out.

I prefer the hard work approach and grind a little.

*Although I am using all the boss souls in order to level up, forced myself not to play with any shields and only two handed weapons. Also trying to get through without any top/body armor. Things are going well thus far.

*Referencing DS2

Yeah, the hard work approach is definitely the way to go and also definitely worth all the grinding to get your char where you want him to be, but I just figured that I've already finished the game(s) before so cheating/glitching doesn't really bother me at all. Since this will be my last time playing any of these games before Bloodborne comes out, I thought I might check out everything I haven't seen/used before. The easiest way to do this was just to max my chars from the start so I can check out everything as I find. I might get bored of playing this way though, so I'll see how it goes. I do still have my chars that are cheat/glitch free so I can still play the game the way it's meant to be played when I feel like it.

I have no idea how you achieve these levels so early on. I know it's a glitch/cheat, but uncertain of how or what is required or has to be done in order to do it.

Well, for Demon's Souls you need the Asian version since the glitch has been patched out on both the US and EU versions. It is then a pretty time consuming process that involves using 2 different characters to continually commit suicide and collect each other's bloodstains. It took me about an hour to get enough souls to go to SL712 (all stats at 99).

Dark Souls II I just used a trainer for infinite souls as soon as I got to Majula. :p
