I would have to go with super-tech-panoramic-display-overlay-eyeballs.

Basically remove the need to ever have a screen for anything ever again.
It would connect to whatever device you look at, and automatically overlay it's display onto your current field of vision.

CMON!!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!
 
I would insist on the very latest and greatest plugin from HighQ Technologies, guaranteed to double my IQ.
Given that, I could probably develop most of the augmentation mentioned above under my own steam.
Win.
 
Augmented Brain which enables mind-control and being able to control all emotions, impulses, adrenaline etc. in myself or another person.

What cant I do with that!
 
It is a fact that our evolutionary process has slowed down as a result from technology making our lives so much easier. The only way for us to continue evolving would be to augment.

Firstly I want a memory and processing unit in the brain that also provides a HUD on an ocular implants. The ocular implants should also be able to see all types of light frequencies. Then a lighter improved skeleton and exoskeleton with a polymer skin that can deflect armor piercing bullets and reflect radiation. Advanced Nano solar cells has to be built into the skin to recharge the Nano particle batteries.

If having small robots in the blood stream is considered augmentation then I will have those that filter blood to remove toxins and repair damage.

Body Density Augmentation

I wish I had an augmentation to temporarily alter the density of my body, from the core of my skeleton right through to the surface of my skin that I can activate instantaneously, resulting in my body mass become rock solid for a brief duration of time (as the augmentation would use energy to solidify my bones, muscles, nerves and skin).

The practical purpose of this is to be protected against hard impacts such as being in an accident or being knocked over, falling from a high platform, or being attacked.

It would also work offensively as the solidifying of my limbs and apendages would increase the impact of a punch to the face or through a wall, as the process would deter any pain for that brief amount of time ;)

My augmentation of choice would have to be my eyes. To be able to see almost every single detail about an object, what it's made of (It's chemical structure) it's weakest point, everything. So be able to see things from afar etc... So many possibilities with augmented eyes!
 
Well, not sure which ones are acceptable, so will do both kinds.

Non-fictional: Teeth, titanium or even a crown for front 4 teeth be nice :P.

Fictional: Jax like robot arms, with insane strength!

I would want an augment to download your neural network (brain configuration) onto a computer as a backup once a day.

So when I die I can live on forever online or through a new body.

A philosophical question. If your contentiousness is copied and activated. When the person is speaking, thinking and acting exactly like you with all your memories and ideas; is it you?
Is a soul just a collection of thoughts or something more?
 
I would like to have some kind of augmentation that allows for interaction with electronic devices. Something that able you to stare at an electronic piece of kit and be able to program it to doing what you want just by staring at it. Other than that, I would be keen on a pair of eyes or one eye that is able to zoom in to objects far away, allowing you to see great detail. Perhaps something that allows me to see greater detail, see in the dark etc.
 
My augmentation would allow me to see thru (preferably hot women's) clothing, i am sure that this explains itself...

^ Now that is a nice augment. Lets hope your able to switch off the augment in case you run into Maplassie nursing his semi :p
