Always wanted to join DGL, but can unfortunately never find enough time to practice and play at a competitive level
Good luck to all those who are participating!

Competitive gaming in this country is a joke. Not to mention people will always find a way to cheat in it. FIB anyone.
You unfortunately clearly how no idea what is going on in the Local eSports scene! =D
Nor do I actually give a shit about. Its unfriendly and hostile bullshit.

Don't really know about (or interested) competitive eSports in S.A.
All I know is that some south african gaming communities are pretty toxic and racist (dota I'm looking at you...)
Only one that seems hostile is you!
Don't comment then if you don't care and know even less
That is the whole online DOTA community in general. The reason why I left it in the first place. So not much to do with the Local competitive scene per say
I know all about the esports here. Its bullshit. Like everything else in this country. Elitist attitudes, and crappy for new clans to try and enter. South africans in general aren't a nice bunch.(yes I am an asshole)![]()
I just had a bad experience and have a sour taste in my mouth.
So, started playing OW DGL. And we are doing very well in the current cup and ladder.
Missed prem by 1 win, and almost in the finals of the current Saphire Cup https://www.digitalgamingleague.co.za/cups/232
OK-Supermarket is our name. And yes... we do get free Vet Koeke on game days
We've toyed with the idea of having a dgl team for our games for csgo..but its quite a commitment![]()
The new system is actually chilled. The Ladder. you play when you can and schedule your own matches. The Cups are a different story
I mean in terms of us actually learning strats/executes and having a set number of guys that "register" (i think its like 7 players, 5 and 2 stand-ins). We;re about 8/9 guys and usually just whoevers online in the evening plays with each other...so it might be difficult for some/all to commit and say yea we'll play "officially"... but yea as I said we've been toying with the idea, I just fear it might take away from the "fun" of playing together and become stressful and serious and cause tension.
But yea we'll see![]()
If you see it as fun and go ahead with that mind set then it will be.
Strats and those things come with time. And on Comp Match making you will never learn them. Lots of teams enter with people that play casually every now and again and not the same core 5 all the time. There are 100+ teams, more than half being for the LoLs
So we've officially joined last night, using the Teamspeak server we're all on as our team name (Promethium), since they sorta convinced us to do it etc...here's hoping the other teams are all silvers/nova's/mg1's![]()
Awesome man! Keep us posted on your matches!

At the start they aren't good, says my Bro, he plays in dgl atm but getting tired of it. If your team is lem or le then you will probably get to top of the ladder
