Diablo 3 auction house consigned to oblivion

Now they just need to remove the BOA system so proper trading can take place and the game will be rocking.
Although I have a feeling we might see a cash shop in the future for things like extra stash tabs and to buy gold with real cash and cosmetic things ect.

side note: The crafting is so awesome at the moment, can get a little frustrating when trying to get a socket rolled on weapons but other than that its pretty successful. I've crafted a ton of gear for my barb and monk :D

I really miss the good old days when you could just buy a game without encountering in game real cash purchase restrictions. I really hate the direction gaming is heading.

It is a bit frustrating when you pay for a game and then have to continue paying to enjoy it... Hearthstone is interesting because its free to play, and if you play the game you can make gold and its not necessary to pay for anything, unless you want to. And paying for booster packs doesnt mean your going to get what you want either...

So the whiners got the win ....... lol days. Still don't see how the ability for someone else to buy their shit impacted you so hard that you had to moan.

*shrug*

The main issue is that the AH was directly linked to the loot table of the game, so for instance if there were a certain amount of item X on sale the chances of you dropping it in game would get lower and lower with each one that appeared on the AH. It literally fucked up the game completely.

I spent hundreds of hours farming and only once or twice did I get anything worth keeping for my toon.

Because it's inclusion alters game design. Both the game and the previous loot system encouraged the use of the AH, it was slower to level and loot was less frequent and less relevant to the class you play. Meaning that people would use both the gold and the RL AH(which acti-blizz took a cut of) The recent implementation of loot 2.0 alters the way the game plays with regards to itemization(in a very positive way) and because of this they can pull the AH, something which goes against the entire skinner box philosophy of Diablo.

Was that a fact that it was loot table linked or just community speculation? (serious question this). We only have a player AH in DDO and some rare items are exactly that - rare and a pain to grind for.

It was fact, a blue (Game/forum admin) posted it on the forum and after a huge debate started, the post got deleted and the thread vanished from the forum completely and members who mentioned or asked why got banned for a time (I know this because I was banned for raging about it lol).

On top of that Blizzard controlled the AH so how could we ever be sure that items on the RMAH were player drops and not things they put on there to make easy money, lots of speculation on that one but we'll never know.

I am the worlds biggest Diablo fan, I own all the games, recently purchased the gold editions again because they were super cheap :D
D3 was not worthy of being called Diablo, it was just blizzard cashing in on the name. Now though things have started to change for the better.

Ok that's pretty knobby then. Wow, confirmed and then all evidence deleted ...... not sly at all, no ways. I'll go buy some stuff from my AH just to be glad it's not controlled in any way, eish.
