Hehe I think I'll take Wyvern's suggestion and play a character through the story. Then I can also experience the extra act. I started a seasonal character so long in vanilla Diablo so hopefully when I get the expansion it will just plug in seamlessly.
 
Aah ok wait your talking normal char, that you can finish in ROS. But to unlock the adventure mode you need to finish the story first. And then you can unlock making the seasonal character

What I did currently is create a seasonal character to play in story mode with which I will finish ROS once I get it. I'm hoping that I can then use this same character in adventure mode. *crosses fingers*

I'm pretty sure that will be fine yes. You'll finish normal story first as seasonal, then after unlocking RoS you can complete that story. When that is done, you get adventure mode. You just need to finish RoS on a character to unlock adventure mode then all is well in the world :)
 
Woot! My ROS has arrived! :D If I didn't have important meetings every day for the rest of the week I would have taken some time of work. I really enjoyed playing last night.

And thanks Wyv for inviting me into their clan and for being an all round awesome person.
 
I've got a question. I'm still in Act 1, should I salvage my gear or sell them? Should I maybe upgrade everything before I start to think of salvaging?

What level are you? If you are 60+ then I would salvage to the upgrade materials.
