Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls

Hi Guys,

So... I last "seriously" played D3 back in November 2012... Pretty much as paragon levels got launched... The Game was so !@#$ back then, and the grind was so hardcore with such pathetic drops... I literally had about 8 Legendary items with 2 lvl 60 Chars and a lvl 50 odd one as well...

So ROS launched and I bought it and didnt have much time to play... But my Characters were SO TERRIBLE it was really difficult to get back into things... Most of my items went from being worth a couple thousand gold to like 7... no jokes...

So my question to you all is, would you recommend i Roll a new Character... or persist with my high level guys and just keep farming in the hope of better drops? Iv got my monk up to lvl 69 now, he is all iv played in ROS though...

Any in put would be appreciated, by all means have a look at my guys, amybe give me some advice there? Im pretty out of the loop when it comes to the new crafters etc as well so ya...

EDIT : Another possibility im considering is giving up on the PC version and getting the PS4 version... If im going to roll a new character this may be another option?

i would say finish the story with one of them and then start playing adventure mode. When hitting level 70 you should be getting better gear. and when you start doing rifts you should get a lot better gear.

Agreed. The odds of have crap gear pre 70 is very high.
Only once your char is maxxed can you start to farm gear and do fun things like rifts.
Get 70 and start killing many many monsters.
 
Okay so here's a tip for getting your legendary gems quickly. (According to reddit)

Get your GRift trial key from a rift.
Enter the trial but completely fail, die or stand in a corner.
This will yield a lvl1 key.
From then on in each rift only kill the guardian when there is 4 minutes left. According to reports this is the cutoff point for a single level gain. Keep doing this and you GRifts will only advance a single level at a time making it super simple to acquire all your legendary gems.
 
Question :

Does anyone know if we will need to relogg when Season 1 opens on Friday or if we will be able to log in before and camp the season. I want to go for leaderboard 70 but I need to start the instant it goes live.

Ok cool, Will probably hop on tonight, im nearly at LVL 70 with my Monk... I feel like iv missed so much... Been reading up on the KEy wardens, and Rifts and all sorts of crazy shit i dont know jack about...

No need to wait for 4 minutes.

Just kill it, the loot doesnt scale to difficulty level so once you finish the rift upgrade to level 2 farm etc.

Guys that are serious about chieves / leaderboards

Need to make a party, im gna be a dh so we need

1x WD
1x Barb
1x Wiz

That will sort the easy co-op achievement, also gna be playing all night tonight to race to 70. Whos in? i did 1-70 on ptr with one additional person and it took from 10am>12:30pm so its gna be about until 9am tomorrow morning should reach level 70.

Oh gna be on hardcore so that we unlock the chieves twice.

But the main plan is:

Farm about 20-30 rift tokens

Then run rifts all the time to keep handing in quests and shit downtime to lowest possible, and note you cant really do misers will anymore, they added an elite mob inside.

I tested it, when you wait until there is 4 minutes or less left you will only upgrade your key by 1 level. I managed to get all my leg gems by grift 12.

We have a stellar group for the season start tonight. DH, Cru, Mnk, Barb.
I think split farm for keys on hard from lvl 1. Then bump the difficulty as soon as the first legs roll in and hit rifts.

Lol im on 3g so wont be checking your progress its too much of hardcoreness to play hardcore on 3g :p

Then again will get the toast when u get a chieve
